Introducing TransAfrica.
TransAfrica Forum is a research, education, and advocacy center dedicated to global justice for the African World.
A center for activism focusing on conditions in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America and other parts of the African Diaspora, TransAfrica sponsors seminars, community awareness projects and training programs. These activities help promote alternative perspectives on the economic, political, and moral ramifications of U.S. foreign policy.
TransAfrica disseminates information on issues of concern to the African World with various events in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and beyond. These include our Cabral/Truth Circle, African World Visions Film Series, Viewpoint Lecture Series, Readers’ Corner and Writers’ Corner. TransAfrica also provides opportunities to young people through our Passing the Baton program.
