Black Economics is holding an Art Competition. It is called ICOB Art – In Celebration of Black Art. We are accepting submissions of original artwork in the following genres.
Drawing
Painting
Photography
Mixed Media
Digital Art or Animation
Sculpture
Artists from around the world are called upon to make online submissions. Emerging and New Artists are welcome. We are encouraging black visual artists to take part.
Age Ranges and Opportunities
There are 4 Age Ranges for this competition – 7 to 10, 11 to 17, 18 to 49, 50 plus.
Finalists will gain exposure and be assisted with ongoing sales of their work. Winning a competition, or even being a finalist can raise the artist profile and command higher prices for artwork going forward.
Artists can apply to this competition by submitting their best representational or abstract art, using any of the following themes. The first 9 themes must be done by black or mixed race artists. The tenth theme can be done by white, Asian or other artists who are not black.

PRIZES
Prizes are of amounts: £1500, £1000, £750, £500 and £250. There will be a prize winner in each genre and a prize winner in each age range. That is a total of 24 prizes.
Competition Start and Deadline Dates
Please email a photo of your artwork submission to admin@beaar.org or send via wetransfer or dropbox or google drive. An entry form must be submitted to accompany your work.
Ensure your Artwork has a name. Shortlisted finalists may be chosen for future Exhibitions and will get assistance in selling their works.
Entries are Free for the first and second entry from an artist. Subsequent entries from the same artist will cost £8. A maximum of 7 entries are allowed per artist. Multiple entries does not guarantee a win. One outstanding entry could beat all the others.
The public will be asked to view and comment on finalists works, but final decisions will be made by a panel of Judges who are professional Artists.
The competition runs 7th October, 2021 to 8th November 2021
Shortlists will be published, and List of finalists sent to the press – 20 November 2021
Results will be announced -5 December 2021
